Frosty Pumpkin 10K Results, 2021

October 10, 2021

Comfortably cool temperatures but high humidity greeted 27 runners for the second race in the 2021 Marathon Series. Scott Kohr directed a core and Kohr group of volunteers who worked the finish line, manned the water stop, and were present at every turn on the course. They were Emily Fulkerson, Isaac Fulkerson, Dave Foote, Drew Richardson, Mark Mann, Michelle Walker, sleepyhead Paul Kelly, and multiple Kohr family members.

Ben Brown had a slight lead over Tom Yinger through 5K, but Tom took advantage of the rolling downhill return trip and pulled away to reverse the top two from the Tahoma 5M. He won by enough to take a small lead in the series over Ben, which is far from over with 15 miles remaining. Patrick Stohrer solidified his hold on third place.

Jill Krebs took off after a slower first mile, had to stop for a shoelace emergency, and still closed most of the gap to Patrick. Jill missed the first event, so the series top three remain the next three finishers from this morning's event, Heidi Neske, Tina McCubbin, and Holly Hergan.
